HOW TO ELOPE IN MOAB, UTAH

1.) PLAN AHEAD - Moab is a very popular elopement and wedding destination! I recommend planning in advance to ensure you get what you want on your elopement or wedding day!
2.) BEST TIME OF THE YEAR - Spring and Fall all day long! In the summer time the desert can be above 100 degrees! In late spring and early fall (before November), you will be super comfortable and really be able to enjoy your time while avoiding the crazy heat and snow storms.
3.) LODGING - Book sooner than later. Enough said!
4.) SUNRISE ALL DAY - if you are going for gorgeous colors & privacy, you always want sunrise! Sunrise beats the crowds and you get the best colors of the day!

Candance was incredible! My husband and I booked an 8-hour package with her husband as the second shooter. She flew all the way down to Texas to shoot our wedding, and her pricing was extremely reasonable. We just got the photos back, and they are top-tier! Some of the photos she took could be in a bridal magazine, they were so beautiful.
We booked a Zoom meeting with her before we signed the contract to get to know her a bit and ask a few questions. We were a little jumpy because our previous photographer who we had signed with had canceled, so we had several questions for Candance. Candance was extremely kind and addressed all of our questions and concerns with care, making us feel heard and comfortable.
On the wedding day, she and her husband were amazing. They took all of the classic, expected photos and had creative ideas for other photo opportunities, and they were so kind and fun to work with, assuaging all of our wedding-day jitters with ease. A specific moment that sticks in my memory: a rain and hailstorm hit our area right after the ceremony while we were still taking pictures in the chapel, so I had to run barefoot to the reception hall, and Candance got down on her knees and wiped my feet dry with a napkin. Never in my life have I felt so cared for by someone I barely knew, and I'll always remember that moment.

Absolutely! This is your experience and if you want to share this intimate time with your nearest and dearest, then you should! I always suggest at least a guest count of 30 or below for all National Parks, State Parks, BLM Lands as there can be limits on how many individuals can be out there as well as this guest count still ensures you have a low stress experience.
Typically my books start filling up around 12-18 months in advance so I suggest reaching out as soon as you have a date and location in mind! I have planned elopements within 4 weeks as well, so if you are planning last minute, reach out and see if I am available and we will still plan the best day ever for you!
Most of my elopements on average always book 6 hours up to 12! Keep in mind though this number can depend on your location, guests, activities, and more. A half day elopement is considered somewhere around 6 hours and then a full day can be up to 12 hours. I also have many couples who book me for 2 days which means they get the wedding experience with their guest on day 1 and then the elopement experience where it is just the couple enjoying their activities and landscape session on day 2! There is really no limit to what you can do :)! If you do not know what you want right now, I always suggest couples book my lowest package and we can add on time as we need it during planning!
Two weeks after your wedding or elopement, you will get a sneak peek gallery from me with some highlights from your day and after that we have a 60-90 business day turn around time. Your memories are important to us and so is our art. We love making sure each photo is in line with our portfoilo and giving you a gallery to relive your best day ever through.
