Olympic National Park is HUGE and there are so many backdrops to choose from! You can elope at the top of Hurricane Ridge with stunning mountain views, the Hall of Mosses inside the Hoh Rainforest at sunrise for a magical forest experience or at sunset along the coastline at places like Ruby Beach or Second Beach for a truly epic landscape full of crashing waves and sea life. As a photographer who has played in this National Park since 2010, I cannot wait to help you plan the day of your dreams.

ELOPING IN OLYMPIC NATIONAL PARK, WASHINGTON STATE
1.) PLAN AHEAD - The Olympic National Park is huge and does require a lot of driving and equally, a lot of planning. Get your lodging and vendors booked early!
2.) BEST TIME OF THE YEAR TO ELOPE? - One of my favorite things about this park is that there is a place to elope for every season! In the Spring and Winter months places like Ruby Beach, Second Beach, Lake Crescent and the Hoh Rainforest are great places and then in the summer months between late July and mid-September you can go up to places like Hurricane Ridge for mountain views.
3.) PLACES TO EAT? - With the park being so big, there are not a lot of places to eat. It is highly recommended that you bring food with you!
4.) BEST TIME OF THE DAY TO ELOPE? - Sunrise all day for the Hoh Rainforest! Sunset is the best time of the day for other areas such as the coast line and mountain tops! The best part of this particular park is that you can elope at sunrise and take portraits at sunset and get a vast variety of different looks!
5.) WORK WITH AN EXPERT - Like someone who lives here :)! Hyia, that's me! You will want someone who knows this landscape, the ins and outs, the weather, the locations, and more. This will make your day so much less stressful :)!

Candance was incredible! My husband and I booked an 8-hour package with her husband as the second shooter. She flew all the way down to Texas to shoot our wedding, and her pricing was extremely reasonable. We just got the photos back, and they are top-tier! Some of the photos she took could be in a bridal magazine, they were so beautiful.
We booked a Zoom meeting with her before we signed the contract to get to know her a bit and ask a few questions. We were a little jumpy because our previous photographer who we had signed with had canceled, so we had several questions for Candance. Candance was extremely kind and addressed all of our questions and concerns with care, making us feel heard and comfortable.
On the wedding day, she and her husband were amazing. They took all of the classic, expected photos and had creative ideas for other photo opportunities, and they were so kind and fun to work with, assuaging all of our wedding-day jitters with ease. A specific moment that sticks in my memory: a rain and hailstorm hit our area right after the ceremony while we were still taking pictures in the chapel, so I had to run barefoot to the reception hall, and Candance got down on her knees and wiped my feet dry with a napkin. Never in my life have I felt so cared for by someone I barely knew, and I'll always remember that moment.
